Fresno Grizzlies

So Last Wednesday my family and I along with two friends of mine went to a Fresno Grizzlies game and had an awesome time.  I felt it needed to be shared because we got some awesome pics of all of us at the game and I don't really have a whole lot of pics in my blogs.  So here it is.

First up is a picture of Jose, Manske and myself during the game.  Jose and Manske are two of my friends from Sonora, all of us worked at the same casino so it was really nice to see these guys again.  I think at this point we were like two beers in and feeling pretty good.  We ended up drinking a lot of Tecate that night and lets just say that it's not as forgiving the next day.

Arily and Caleb took a pic together.  It was nice because both my wife and Caleb seemed to enjoy the game a lot.  We don't go to a lot of things like this so it was nice to get out of the house with the whole family for a day of fun and excitement.  Plus Caleb seemed to be really into the game, almost like he was in awe or something like that.

Mikel had some fun but he is kind of at that age where if he doesn't like something then it's really downhill from there.  I think he enjoyed the game for like ten minutes and then spent the rest of the game playing on my Iphone.  But, we got him out of the house and I'm thinking that the more we go to these games the more he will start to like Baseball.

We have Jose and Caleb in this pic.  As you can see both of them are the whitest Mexicans I know and they kind of look alike as well, I think that Jose could pass for Caleb's uncle if we tried to convince someone that he was.

And last but not least we have one of our fun make shift family pics.  This is usually how pics of the four of us go, one of the kids is trying to get away and the other is happy, it's just how we are.

After it was all said and done we had a pretty good time.  I was happy to be hanging out my good friends and my wonderful family the whole time.  We also got free In-N-Out that night as well which was a way added bonus.  I think we are going to go to another game here soon, the Fresno Grizzlies park is an awesome place to see a fun and cheap game.  You walk in there and it feels like you are a major league game, it just has that awesome feel to it.  So if you get a chance hit up a game or two and bring the family with you or some friends.

Until next time.

Trying to Get Fit

So recently I have noticed that my gut has gotten just a little bit out of control.  Now, the people who know me are probably like, "What?!  You are skinny as fuck!".  Unfortuantly that is not the case.  So I decided to start doing some cardio, push up's and sit up's recently and I feel a little bit better, granted I have only been doing this for the last three days.  We are fortunate to have a pool in the condo complex that we live in so I have been swimming a bunch of laps after I get home from work.  This led me to a discovery.  I am horribly out of shape and I would suppose that I am in the worst shape of my life.  Now i'm not morbidly obese or something like that, I just know that my body could be a bit better then it is as of now.  So I have been doing a lot of swimming and to be honest I had forgotten how good of a workout it actually is.  When I am done with the set amount of laps that I choose I usually feel wiped out, especially for the last two days but today was definitely different.  I felt way better after today's swim then I have the last two days.  I think my body is starting to get used to some sort of exercise again.  And well, push up's and sit up's are easy enough to do so that's why I have been doing those as well.  It's time to pump me up and slim me down.

Well, I don't have anything else big to share so lets do quickie news, I haven't done that in a while.
Ready...
Set...
GO!!!!!

1)  My youngest son has started to walk, it's amazing but he is now getting into everything and anything

2)  About a month ago we welcomed a new niece to the family, my sister in law gave birth to such a beautiful little girl.

3)  My sister is going to be staying with my mom for about two months sometime next month until her classes start up again.  I cant wait to see her.

4)  I think I am finally out of that honeymoon phase at my new job, but I am still loving the job.

5)  I have also met up with a lot of people I went to school with thanks to this new job.  All of them have been super nice.  A big thank you to all of you.

That's all for tonight everyone.  Until next time.

Boxes

and Boxes and Boxes and Boxes...

That is how my day is going to go tomorrow, one box after the other full of stuff that my wife, kids and I have acquired over the past two years.  The goal for tomorrow is going to be six boxes, should be pretty easy to say the least, it's just a boring task, not to mention repetitive.  The big move with a moving van and all that jazz should be happening on March 21st, that one is going to be exciting and sucky at the same time, at least after that is done there will only be one more thing to do.  That thing is clean the damn house and be done with it, drop it like a bad habit.  I'm sure my wife and I will have a splendid time cleaning that damn house, hopefully I can get my parents to watch our boys so we can just knock out all of the cleaning in a timely manner.

Over the years I have learned that no matter how much you clean and what not, the property management or the actual landlord will just have it professionally done anyways.  Thus taking more money out of the deposit that you originally paid to get in said house.  The other thing is that 8/10 times the landlord or property management will try to F you over as much as they can.  It's almost like it's their goal to make sure that you get the least amount as possible with them doing the least amount of work as possible.  For example; the property management that we go thru has it in our contract that we can have the carpets done professionally on our own at our own expense which sucks balls.  Or they can do it themselves, but here is where they get you, and this is actually in our contract mind you.  They will charge $100 dollars just to call a company to come and clean the carpets.  That's right folks, we get charged $100 F-ing dollars for them to make a five to ten minute phone call.  What kind of shit is that!  I wouldn't be surprised if they had a "most money taken from a deposit" contest and they are always trying to break the highest amount.  Now I want to know what it is, maybe the person who gets the most out of a deposit gets a bonus at the end of the year.  I hope our person wins.

So, what I was trying to get at before I went off the deep end is this.

Your landlord and/or property management doesn't not want to give that deposit back, they will take as much as they can from it.  That is a FACT!!!!!  Remember these words of wisdom.

Good bey.

Videos/Moving

I've been trying to make more content for my youtube page(youtube.com/theflarida) latley and it's going a little slower then I expected.  However I have been enjoying the content that I have been putting out, I have also been paying attention to other people's pages as well.  Im kind of trying to get an idea for trends and other things that I think my demographic would enjoy seeing from me.  As of right now I am only putting out vlogs and Modern Warfare 3 gameplay, the hard part is trying to do something witht hose two that have not been done yet.  So many people are doing the same thing that i am doing that sometimes it makes it hard to come up with some fresh ideas.  But, I am still trying and am satisfied with what I am putting out, I just have to find a way to put out content on a more consistent basis.  I know I have touched on this before but I am still working on getting some editing software so that i can eventually make actual videos that have substance, story and some comedy in them.  It's coming, I promise.

Onto other news.

We finally got the keys to our new place in Oakhurst, we went down Friday and payed the first months rent and put some boxes inside the place.  Now to do the big huge move that I am definetly not looking forward to in any way shape or form, trust me, it's going to suck.  I dont mind moving persay, but when it comes to the physical act of "moving", well that's when I start to not like it.  Luckily I have a bunch of friends who can help out with the move so that should make it less of a chore and more of a fun thing to do.  Who knows, maybe we can have a big going away party in the empty house that we are moving from, that would be pretty awesome.

Another thing.

I want to find musicians to play some music with.  That is all.

Good bey

I've Been Gone

Hello everyone,

So it's been a while since I last wrote and a lot has gone on in my life, all of which has been for the good and I really cant think of anything negative that has happened.  Anyways, to start off with a quick question(to my readers)...

How have you been?
What's new in your life?
Played any good games lately?

Now, back to me.

So my family and I took a trip to Corcoran CA for my sister in law's baby shower which was on February 4th.  It was an awesome trip, I had taken five days off from work which i planned along with my paid time off to get a whopping nine days off from my job.  It was well received and much needed.  I don't usually take this kind of time off very often, maybe like once a year when there is an occasion for it or something that just says, "take time off for me, it will be fun!".  Anyways, back to the story.  So we spent about 5 days in Corcoran during my nine day vacation.  Most of those days were spent preparing for the baby shower since my wife and my mother in law still had other things that needed to be ready for the big day.  We made a few Hanford trips for supplies and I also was able to finally use the $30 hot Topic Gift card that I had received from my sister during Christmas.  We also visited with friends and family like my brother in law(we watched Kung Fu panda 2 at his place...EPIC!!!!) and my good friend Jake.  Actually I was the only one who visited with Jake, I went to his place while the baby shower was going on, more on that as well.

As some of you know, my wife is a beautiful Mexican woman.  Which means that her mom is a typical traditional Mexican mom and she fed me until I felt like I was going to burst open from my stomach.  Holy poo!!!!!!!!!!  I ate sooooooooooooooOOOOOOOO much it was ridiculous but so delicious at the same time it shouldn't even be legal.  Now just to clear some stuff up.  My mother in law makes some of the most awesome authentic Mexican food in the world, I could eat her food for the rest of my life if possible.  Hell, I've even offered to have them move in with us when they get older just for this reason(Not the only reason but still a good one).  So the food she makes is bomb, its a FACT!!!!!  I'm guessing that i gained about ten pounds of much needed weight according to my mother in law.  It was nice, I am a bit more fat now but my Mexican food quota has been filled for a while.

Now on to visiting my friend Jake.  The day of the baby shower I went to Visalia to hang out with a good friend of mine while my wife and her family did the while baby shower thing.  Since this baby shower was not for my wife I got the ok to do what ever I wanted and not have to chill at the shower.  So onto my friend.  My buddy Jake is an engineer somewhere in Visalia, he is a bad ass guy and the reason why i listen to the awesome music that I listen to.  He recently bought a bad ass house which I stayed at and made fun of him for having so much room and nothing for all that space.  So our night started out at Buffalo Wild Wings but we were not able to get in, so we went to some restaurant in down town Visalia(I think on Main Street) before we went to the movies.  The restaurant was ok, it was a brewery as well.  The short story for that place is that the wings sucked and the beer was ok, I've had better.  Then we saw The Grey which was a great movie regardless of what people will tell you, so go see it now.  Then we went back to Jake's place for a bit and after that tried our luck again at getting into Buffalo Wild Wings and this time it was a great success.  I enjoyed their spicy garlic wings with a nice Blue Moon.  After we went back to his place and GOT IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!  Nah, just kidding, he busted out an air mattress for me and I proceeded to crash out like the old fogey that I am.  It was nice^_^

The last leg of our trip was to Mariposa to visit my parents, we spent two days there catching up with my family and letting them enjoy the company of ourselves and our sons.  My mom and dad are crazy for the kids since they don't get to see them that often.  It also help that my kids love their gramma and grandpa so much.  My oldest son had to get put in time out a couple of times at my mom's which was hilarious, my mom broke him in like w wild horse.  And my youngest Caleb finally loves my mom, in the beginning she used to scare him which was pretty good to see and had a serious laugh factor to it.  The wife and I even got a little alone time thanks to my parents watching the boys for a little bit for us, it was nice to have some time to our selves since we don't really get that at all.

So, to end this.  Our little vacation was fun, we all had a good time and got to see tons of family and some really good friends.  This is something that we don't really do very often, it was much needed.  I will start writing more regularly now that we are back from our trip.  So tomorrow should be a good blog as well, until then.

HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can tell from my title I am hungry right now, it was a long and awesome day.  In door soccer was really fun tonight, we ended up winning but the other team only had four players but still wanted to play a legit game so we were cool with that.  Let me tell you something, the only four players that showed up for the other team were all older Mexican gentlemen and they could play, we won by a lot but that still doesn't dismiss the fact that they kicked ass in every aspect to the point where I wished that they were on our team.  Also all four of the guys were super cool, the whole game was just a lot of fun with some dudes who you could learn from just by watching them.  But gash damn, after the game I was super hungry and I have still not eaten anything yet, but I will very soon, like very very soon, JUST WAIT FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!

In some other semi life changing news.

I met my dad's side of the family, I have never met any of those kind people before and they have virtually been absent from my whole life until today.  Before i go on, I suppose some back story is going to be needed.  My conception was a total accident, I was by no means what so ever a planned baby.  The story i got from my mom is that my dad wanted to get married for whatever reason but my mom did not, so he stayed around for about 2 months after I was born and then just split.  I wouldn't talk to my dad or see him for the rest of my life after this until I turned 18 and I finally got the courage to find his number and call him.  Anyways, I'm veering away from the original story.  About a year ago thanks to Facebook I found my dad's family and some of my cousins who in turn pointed me in the right direction to find my aunt's on his side as well.  I am now friends with all of them on Facebook.  Well, my aunt Lori messaged me about a week ago saying that her, her husband and my grandparents wanted to meet me and asked if we could meet somewhere in Sonora.  I gladly accepted and we chose to meet up at the Perko's in Sonora since my grandparents live in Twain Harte.  The Date was set for January 2nd at 9:30am.

So early yesterday I got the kids and the wife and myself ready and we got in the car and drove on down to Perko's cafe.  Meeting the four of them today was such an awesome experience, they are some of the nicest most well rounded people I know.  We talked about everything from my family and my mom and her family to their side of the family like kids, grand kids and stuff like that.  I learned a lot about my dad and even found out that we have a couple of things in common like how much food we can eat, apparently we both have a bottomless pit for a stomach.  Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "why didn't you ask them why they never wanted to seek you out and meet you until now?"  Well, I did kind of want to ask that but, I really didn't want to dampen the mood, perhaps those kind of questions would be more suited for a personal conversation between just me and them and not at a local Perko's.  That shit would be very very awkward and I really didn't want to make this first meeting an awkward experience.  I really just wanted to get to know them, I literally know nothing about any of these people and we share the same blood, it's sad to me sometimes when I really think about it.  This is my chance to be with people who I've wanted to meet my whole life, people who I have dreamed about and imagined in my head a thousand times.  I couldn't have asked for a better first meeting and I cant wait to get to know these family members even more now.  It's finally time for me to be involved with the family that I really didn't know I had.  So I am greatly looking for to that, it's going to be a great experience, I can feel it.

That's all for today, if you have any questions about this or my experience from yesterday then feel free to ask away.  Until next time.

Thanks(Give me a Minute)

I'm not really sure whats up with the title of this blog but what ever, I thought I should make it make no sense what so ever in relation to my Thanksgiving.  So on to how my Thanksgiving was today...  IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!  I ate of shit load and when I was done I was really feeling it, felt like my stomach had expanded to unhumanly proportioned levels.  But oh my gosh was the turkey awesome and all of the other food that accompanied the turkey as well.  I know that my youngest son was enjoying himself some mashed potatoes, he was trying to get to the spoon before we could even get the food into his mouth.  Crazy 6 month old.  Plus, it's always great to see my whole family, to get to see people who I only get to see one or two times a year and they got to see my kids for the first time which was pretty awesome.  It's always nice to get compliments on how cute or beautiful your children are.  I know that they got passed around left and right, everyone wanted a chance to hold them and play with them and just do family things with them.  Except for pinch their cheeks, I'm pretty sure that I am the only one who does that to my kids.

Oh my lanta it is God awfully hot in my office tonight.  I just thought that you should know.

Soooooooooo the damn 49er's lost today to the Ravens(sad face).  Ugh, well I guess being 9-2 isn't that bad but I really wanted them to go the rest of the season without losing a game.  Realistically that was not a sound thought, not at the least.  I just hope that we haven't lost our momentum, lets get it together for next Monday and secure the W!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and to all of you at the Black Friday events going on, I just want to wish you good luck and hope that you get all of the shit that you want and that you don't have to beat up some over weight soccer mom for it or some dude who still lives in his parents basement.  From what I hear, people can get pretty crazy on the Black Friday sales, so good luck to you all and God speed.
