Warrior

So, I just finished the movie Warrior.  Wow.  Movie was so amazing and epic.  Such a great story, drama, passion, suspense, action and pure emotion.  Warrior had it all.  At least two or three times during the movie I wanted to cry due to two brothers fighting with everything they had and a son having to console his drunken father.  Damn, this movie had everything a great movie should have.  Hands down one of my top five favorite movies of all time, HANDS DOWN!!!!!  I have to get this movie on Blu-Ray now, I would imagine that the special features that come with the movie would be just as epic as the movie itself, I want to know everything about this movie.

On a semi related note...

I love special features that come with the movie's I buy.

That is another reason why i generally only buy Blu-Ray's as well, they tend to come with a bit more in the special features department then a DVD does.  Take Forgetting Sarah Marshal for example.  The DVD had some awesome special features, however, the Blu-Ray had all of the DVD's special features along with like eight more things attached to it like a sing along with Infant Sorrow's songs.

Now back to Warrior.

If you haven't seen it yet then watch it as soon as possible, you will not regret it.

How Have you Been?^_^

Well, it's been a while since I have written a blog, so I have decided to change that and finally write one today.  I am feeling the inspiration.

So as of lately I have been focusing more on my youtube page which is youtube.com/theflarida

I recently bought an editing software as well to further my videos along and have been trying to make them better in quality and comedy.  Not to mention I have also been doing vlog's which are fun but to be honest are incredibly boring, I'm not really sure how people make money off of doing vlog's but some how they do.  I have also been doing some Modern Warfare 3 game play and commentary which is fun but sometimes they can just drag on due to the game and map you are playing.  I'm not a big fan of just releasing a video of me talking and eight minutes of game play going.  The thing I am really trying to do is find a way to make all of this stuff work while trying to find my own way and style to make these videos in a way that will make them stand out and garner some sort of attention.  So that's what I have been doing lately.

But most importantly...

How have you been? ^_^

Boxes

and Boxes and Boxes and Boxes...

That is how my day is going to go tomorrow, one box after the other full of stuff that my wife, kids and I have acquired over the past two years.  The goal for tomorrow is going to be six boxes, should be pretty easy to say the least, it's just a boring task, not to mention repetitive.  The big move with a moving van and all that jazz should be happening on March 21st, that one is going to be exciting and sucky at the same time, at least after that is done there will only be one more thing to do.  That thing is clean the damn house and be done with it, drop it like a bad habit.  I'm sure my wife and I will have a splendid time cleaning that damn house, hopefully I can get my parents to watch our boys so we can just knock out all of the cleaning in a timely manner.

Over the years I have learned that no matter how much you clean and what not, the property management or the actual landlord will just have it professionally done anyways.  Thus taking more money out of the deposit that you originally paid to get in said house.  The other thing is that 8/10 times the landlord or property management will try to F you over as much as they can.  It's almost like it's their goal to make sure that you get the least amount as possible with them doing the least amount of work as possible.  For example; the property management that we go thru has it in our contract that we can have the carpets done professionally on our own at our own expense which sucks balls.  Or they can do it themselves, but here is where they get you, and this is actually in our contract mind you.  They will charge $100 dollars just to call a company to come and clean the carpets.  That's right folks, we get charged $100 F-ing dollars for them to make a five to ten minute phone call.  What kind of shit is that!  I wouldn't be surprised if they had a "most money taken from a deposit" contest and they are always trying to break the highest amount.  Now I want to know what it is, maybe the person who gets the most out of a deposit gets a bonus at the end of the year.  I hope our person wins.

So, what I was trying to get at before I went off the deep end is this.

Your landlord and/or property management doesn't not want to give that deposit back, they will take as much as they can from it.  That is a FACT!!!!!  Remember these words of wisdom.

Good bey.

Videos/Moving

I've been trying to make more content for my youtube page(youtube.com/theflarida) latley and it's going a little slower then I expected.  However I have been enjoying the content that I have been putting out, I have also been paying attention to other people's pages as well.  Im kind of trying to get an idea for trends and other things that I think my demographic would enjoy seeing from me.  As of right now I am only putting out vlogs and Modern Warfare 3 gameplay, the hard part is trying to do something witht hose two that have not been done yet.  So many people are doing the same thing that i am doing that sometimes it makes it hard to come up with some fresh ideas.  But, I am still trying and am satisfied with what I am putting out, I just have to find a way to put out content on a more consistent basis.  I know I have touched on this before but I am still working on getting some editing software so that i can eventually make actual videos that have substance, story and some comedy in them.  It's coming, I promise.

Onto other news.

We finally got the keys to our new place in Oakhurst, we went down Friday and payed the first months rent and put some boxes inside the place.  Now to do the big huge move that I am definetly not looking forward to in any way shape or form, trust me, it's going to suck.  I dont mind moving persay, but when it comes to the physical act of "moving", well that's when I start to not like it.  Luckily I have a bunch of friends who can help out with the move so that should make it less of a chore and more of a fun thing to do.  Who knows, maybe we can have a big going away party in the empty house that we are moving from, that would be pretty awesome.

Another thing.

I want to find musicians to play some music with.  That is all.

Good bey

My Tattoo's

So I recently went out and got a new tattoo at the local tattoo parlor near my house, the place is called West Side Ink and its located in Tuolumne.  Its a pretty bad ass shop and pretty well renowned around the area that I live due to it's owner, his name is Tree and everyone I've ever talked to about him and his tattoo's say that he is the best in Tuolumne County.  My tattoo was not done by Tree but instead was done by one of the other artists who happen to work at his parlor.  That mans name is Anthony and just to clarify, he is a bad ass with a tattoo gun.  I couldn't be happier with the way that my new tattoo came out, here are some reasons.

1.  The lines on my Tattoo are so smooth and precise it makes me want to cry
2.  He was such a down to Earth guy that I enjoyed the conversation that we had and I also ended finding out                 that we are neighbors.
3.  Last but not least my tattoo was pretty reasonably priced, he could have tried to take advantage of me but he did not(And I don't mean sexually^_^)

So getting the new tattoo has inspired me to talk about the other tattoo's I have, kind of give some commentary on them and what not.  So, join me on this trip down memory lane.

Tattoo #1
This is the first tattoo that I ever put on my body, as you can see it is a goth angel with the red and black for her back ground and is on the left side of my chest more near my left shoulder.  This image was from the album cover of the first EP that my old band(Forgotten Masterpiece) and I made.  I loved the image so much that I decided to get it tattoo'd on me, this piece took about 4-5 hours and unfortuantly is not done yet.  The wings are supposed to be the same color as the back ground but I never went back in to have it finished.  I got this tattoo when I was 22, it took a long time to find an image that I was passionate enough about to get it immortalized on my body.  I still love this tattoo to this day, I don't generally try to get images that I will regret in the future.  So that is number one, the first one, the one true love of my tattoo's, isn't she a beauty.

Tattoo #2

Ok, so this was the second tattoo that I got, I was 22 as well when I decided to get this one put on my right forearm.  This image is from Naruto, it's the Hidden Village of the Sand's crest, this and my third tattoo are two of the most nerdiest things I have on my body.  Now, this tattoo is bittersweet, I love it and this is what I wanted but as you can see the guy who did it sucked balls.  Believe it or not he was a professional and I paid $60 for this which now thinking about it was a huge rip off.  Despite the obvious flaws of this tattoo I still love it and I do plan on getting it fixed in the future.  I'm actually happy that i don't remember the guy's name who did this tattoo because I would be putting him on blast right now, he should really go back to being an apprentice because he still has a lot to learn.  Oh, and a side note, the guy was like in his 40's and was a "renowned"(I use that very loosely) tattoo artist in Tuolumne County.

Tattoo #3
Last but not least we are finally onto my third and final tattoo which was done last week.  I already explained who did this tattoo and how awesome he was so lets go into what this means and why I got it put on me.  So, if you have ever watched the animated series Avatar: The Last Air Bender or the shitty movie rendition that M. Night Shamalan called The Last Air Bender then you probably think that this looks familiar because it is the Water Tribe symbol.  Now, I originally was not going to get this, in fact, I was just going to get the water sign for Aquarius but that is when my awesome wife suggested getting the water tribe symbol since it kind of had the Aquarius sing in it already.  Kudos to that wonderful woman of mine^_^  So, I went and got it put on me, I like this tattoo a lot, it took me about 4 years from my last tattoo to this one, but I finally got another one, the lines are smooth and it just pops.  Anthony at West Side Ink did a great job and I urge everyone in the Tuolumne area to go get some work done by him, you wont regret it.

If you interested in getting a tattoo done by Anthony or one of the other artists at West Side Ink then give them a call, the phone number is 209-928-1968 or go in there and see them, the address is 18382 Bay Ave. Tuolumne, CA 95379.

Also I'm going to end this post with a question.  Do you have any tattoo's?  If so let me know what you have and why you got it.  Does it mean anything?  Were you tough about it or did it hurt like hell?  Well, until next time, later everyone.

Tags

I have been thinking about this for a while now and have been wanting to write a blog post about the "tags" that you are allowed to put at the end of every blog.  These tags are supposed to pertain to your blog, like the topic of it and any related key words.  You are allowed to have 20 words to use as tags so you have to choose those words wisely.  Lately I have been guilty of putting words in this section that do not pertain to my blog at all due to seeing that certain words will bring traffic to the blog.  I try to monitor my stats as much as possible and see where my traffic is coming from, why they are coming and what tags brought them to my site.  I have noticed that the words face and game will usually bring some people to the site since they seem to be popular search words.  But lately I have been thinking of new words to put in that could maximize my traffic.  Now, I know that this in its own way is cheating, but isn't the point of a blog to have people view it.  I mean we are sometimes writing for ourselves but why would we put our thoughts and Ideas on the Internet if we did not want someone to view them, right?

Another reason why I try to maximize my traffic is to get my "Monetize" option open, I would someday like this blog or any other site I own to produce some sort of profit.  If not for all of my everyday bills and life then maybe just a little extra spending money.  It would be nice to say I have a site that produces some sort of profit, extra money is always a good thing.  Actually the dream is to make a site that gets as big as the Penny Arcade site, that is the dream and the goal I am always reaching for.  Someday maybe I will get there, until then, I will just keep trying.

Any thoughts to this topic?  Chime in with a comment at the bottom of this blog or if you have any advice then chime in as well.  Later.
