Bad Video Games(Black Ops 2)

So, I recently bought Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. While playing the game I noticed a bunch of things about the game that I realized I hated and felt we're very sub par and executed poorly. For starters, the knifing in the game is absolutely horrendous, I will literally knife first and then all of a sudden I am the one dying which makes no sense at all. Next up are the games graphics which aren't any better then the original Black Ops graphics. Hell, Modern Warfare 2 and 3 have very noticeable graphical differences. Black Ops 2 and 3 look like they are both run on the same engine with absolutely no differences between the two graphically. Next up is the spawning which absolutely sucks major balls, I can't begin to tell you how many times I spawn right in front of someone with my back to them.
This last and final thing that pisses me off is a big one that has made it so I can't even play the damn game. It must be an error in the game that causes it to freeze because before it can even load the multiplayer screen it freezes and shows an error code in the top right corner of my screen that reads 22.0.-1which I have attached a picture of the error code to this blog as well.
This fucking error has made my sixty dollar purchase feel like the dumbest thing I have done in a while. Why the fuck are game company's like Activision releasing these games without finding out most of the major bugs that cause things like this. Let me break down why I think this is happening.
I changed my default game mode in the game to multiplayer which means that it immediately goes to the multilayer once the game loads up instead of me having to choose that from the original main menu. I believe that this is the culprit for the game freezing up on me and making it absolutely worthless.
I mean, haven't these company's learned anything from Bethseda's huge blunder with Skyrim and not fully testing that game as well? Not to mention Kingdoms of Amalor too.
All of these problems are stupid, we as consumers are paying top dollar for these games and getting sub par games that have barley been tested and result in us not being able to play said games and company's like Bethesda, Activision and EA not really giving a fuck about us because they have already recieved their money. I'm tired of it, I have given up on said company's. THEY don't care about us, all they care about is money and getting that money as soon and as fast as they can regardless of how broken their games are upon release. THAT'S A FACT!!!!

Indie Game and Zynga

So, I am sitting here watching Indie Game: The Movie and playing FarmVille 2 while drinking a beer.  To be honest, I am a bit bored.  This movie is actually really good, gives you a great insight on how the people developing these games feel during their process of making a game from scratch, the middle of it, the end product and all the shit that happens in between those three things.  The thoughts from the men in this movie are what intrigue me the most, the human aspect of not wanting to fail makes this movie a great movie.  All of the gentlemen in this movie have their hearts on their sleeves the whole time.  You are seeing a piece of them that only the closest people in their lives get to see, in retrospect...

you are seeing who they really are.

I'm loving it and in some way feel that I am connecting with them in some minute way, I know how they feel, they seem like people who I would get along with, people who are kindred spirits and I like that.

So onto the other thing that I mentioned at the top of this blog.  FarmVille 2 ugh.

I'm playing it right now as we speak, waiting for a dame got to finish it's allotted time limit so that I can harvest the milk from it's life giving tit because I have a challenge to finish with the milk that it gives, I NEED IT!!!  Zynga has once again found a way to make a horribly addicting game that will most likely draw in every house mom in the country and slowly suck the life out of all of them.  Something interesting has happened though and if I remember correctly Zynga recently has filed for bankruptcy and closed down their studios.  I feel bad for the people who worked there, the people who coded and did the art for it and just put all this time and effort into these games and who are now out of a job.  I hope that some how they will rise out of the ashes that were once Zynga these people can make something else, something awesome and something that I would someday want to play.

I think that I have babbled enough in this post, to be honest I feel strange and not really like my chipper self.  I'm off now, bey.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning(BROKE)

Hello everyone, im going to rant a little bit in this post so bare with me.

So basically I am tired of playing games on my PS3 and having them perform like shit.  Two out of three games that I have recently bought have both had problems with performance.  The first would be Skyrim, but everyone already knows all about the issues that plague that game.  The second is a game called Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, this game was fine to begin with but then out of nowhere I start getting all of these damn problems during the game play.  So I decided to look online to try and find if anyone else is having the same problems as me.  I come to find that yes, multiple people are having the same problems, not as many as I would have thought but still some.  The first problem is with the voices not playing while the text is displayed during chat with NPC's, this problem really isn't that big of a problem for me, whatever.  The second is the frame rate issues while fighting multiple mobs of enemies, espeacially when you get groups of over five that all have combat animations that are complex as opposed to just them hitting or something like that.  And now the main problem, the problem that has been pissing me off the most, the problem that has recently made it to where I cant even play this game for more than 5 minutes is that it just freezes after a small amount of play.  Out of the last five times I have tried playing the game it has done this five times, the game is virtually un-playable at this point.  Its a shame.

Possible fixes to this problem have been to delete the 4gb data that downloads onto the PS3 harddrive when you first play the game and then to reinstal it.  Somehow that might fix the problem due to that info being currupt or something like that, there really wasn't a definite answer on the forums to why this would help.  The second thing is to go into the options and turn off the connection to EA's servers while you play the game so that it somehow doesn't effect your gameplay.  While reading the forums I saw that about 50% of people saw that those two options fixed the problem and the other 50% saw that nothing changed at all after trying these "solutions".

So this brings me to my conclussion, my closing thoughts if you will.  Are you ready?  because I know I am...

Stop releasing games that are broken video company's.  All this shit seemed to have started with Skyrim, Bethesda released a game that they new was riddled with bugs, glitches and various other problems but still released it in order to make a profit sooner as opposed to fix the problem and make a profit later than they wanted.  Not to mention their so called "patches" to fix the problem which by the way made the problems happen even more for me.  In fact, I never even noticed said problems for Skyrim until I downloaded the damn patch onto my PS3.  But Im getting off topic.  I just in the long run want to thank 38 Studios for releasing a game that has problems that make it to where I can not play the game at all on my PS3.  I pay $60 for a game that is unplayable and thats bull shit and should never happen.  The other thing that is bullshit is that it only seems to be games for the PS3 that are effected by all of these problems.  There is something wrong with your software or your gaming system in general Sony, fix this shit because at this point Im about ready to throw my PS3 away and upgrade(yes, I said upgrade) to an X-Box 360 because it seems like all of their games run just fine.  Or as a third option, how about video game company's start making games like they used to.  When I owned a PS2 I never once had issues like these, in fact I had no issues at all because all of my games ran perfectly and how they were meant to run.  Fuck, even some of the horrible ports ran better, did anyone play Grandia 2 for PS3, that game was riddled with glitches and asthetic bugs but still ran like a dream when you played it and you know why, because it had a solid base even for a shitty port.  What Im trying to say is, make games better.  Instead of releasing them sooner then you should for profit take that time to make them better and fine tune the fucking game instead of making your fans and customers suffer.

My Tattoo's

So I recently went out and got a new tattoo at the local tattoo parlor near my house, the place is called West Side Ink and its located in Tuolumne.  Its a pretty bad ass shop and pretty well renowned around the area that I live due to it's owner, his name is Tree and everyone I've ever talked to about him and his tattoo's say that he is the best in Tuolumne County.  My tattoo was not done by Tree but instead was done by one of the other artists who happen to work at his parlor.  That mans name is Anthony and just to clarify, he is a bad ass with a tattoo gun.  I couldn't be happier with the way that my new tattoo came out, here are some reasons.

1.  The lines on my Tattoo are so smooth and precise it makes me want to cry
2.  He was such a down to Earth guy that I enjoyed the conversation that we had and I also ended finding out                 that we are neighbors.
3.  Last but not least my tattoo was pretty reasonably priced, he could have tried to take advantage of me but he did not(And I don't mean sexually^_^)

So getting the new tattoo has inspired me to talk about the other tattoo's I have, kind of give some commentary on them and what not.  So, join me on this trip down memory lane.

Tattoo #1

This is the first tattoo that I ever put on my body, as you can see it is a goth angel with the red and black for her back ground and is on the left side of my chest more near my left shoulder.  This image was from the album cover of the first EP that my old band(Forgotten Masterpiece) and I made.  I loved the image so much that I decided to get it tattoo'd on me, this piece took about 4-5 hours and unfortuantly is not done yet.  The wings are supposed to be the same color as the back ground but I never went back in to have it finished.  I got this tattoo when I was 22, it took a long time to find an image that I was passionate enough about to get it immortalized on my body.  I still love this tattoo to this day, I don't generally try to get images that I will regret in the future.  So that is number one, the first one, the one true love of my tattoo's, isn't she a beauty.

Tattoo #2

Ok, so this was the second tattoo that I got, I was 22 as well when I decided to get this one put on my right forearm.  This image is from Naruto, it's the Hidden Village of the Sand's crest, this and my third tattoo are two of the most nerdiest things I have on my body.  Now, this tattoo is bittersweet, I love it and this is what I wanted but as you can see the guy who did it sucked balls.  Believe it or not he was a professional and I paid $60 for this which now thinking about it was a huge rip off.  Despite the obvious flaws of this tattoo I still love it and I do plan on getting it fixed in the future.  I'm actually happy that i don't remember the guy's name who did this tattoo because I would be putting him on blast right now, he should really go back to being an apprentice because he still has a lot to learn.  Oh, and a side note, the guy was like in his 40's and was a "renowned"(I use that very loosely) tattoo artist in Tuolumne County.

Tattoo #3

Last but not least we are finally onto my third and final tattoo which was done last week.  I already explained who did this tattoo and how awesome he was so lets go into what this means and why I got it put on me.  So, if you have ever watched the animated series Avatar: The Last Air Bender or the shitty movie rendition that M. Night Shamalan called The Last Air Bender then you probably think that this looks familiar because it is the Water Tribe symbol.  Now, I originally was not going to get this, in fact, I was just going to get the water sign for Aquarius but that is when my awesome wife suggested getting the water tribe symbol since it kind of had the Aquarius sing in it already.  Kudos to that wonderful woman of mine^_^  So, I went and got it put on me, I like this tattoo a lot, it took me about 4 years from my last tattoo to this one, but I finally got another one, the lines are smooth and it just pops.  Anthony at West Side Ink did a great job and I urge everyone in the Tuolumne area to go get some work done by him, you wont regret it.

A Schedule

So i have been thinking of some kind of a schedule for writing my blog posts, like certain days that I write something.  Maybe something like Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.  I don't know, like i said for now it is just an idea in my little head of heads.  I'm also looking to add more pictures to this blog as well, that means that I will have to start writing more of these at home, for the most part I really only write these at work and very rarely at home, yesterday was one of those occasions.  I mean, this site has so much more to offer and by only doing text based blogs with nothing but text(this sentence was redundant) I am only hurting myself.  SO MUCH MORE!!!!!!!!  I could even post some of my youtube videos onto this blog, unfortunately none of the ones I have made yet but once I start making legit videos that have been edited via some sort of editing software then I think we will be in business.

Speaking of videos, I have a ton of ideas video wise that I hope to be making withing the next 6 months so look out for those little bastards for sure.

Also music.  It seems that I will hopefully be getting together with an old friend of mine to write some new tunes and bring back an old band of mine that I was in hella days ago called Forgotten Masterpiece.  Its going to be myself(Anthony) and Tim, you probably have no idea who this band is being as you most likely don't know me so check out purevolume.com/forgottenmasterpiece because that is were the blunt of the music is at.  Now, the music up on that site is not what we are going to sound like, the two of us are going to evolve it into something new and awesome(I love that word).  Its going to be a new take on Forgotten Masterpiece so don't be disappointed when we sound nothing like we used to sound if you used to listen to us back in the day.

11 Hours to go

So The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has already been released, for those of you who are lucky enough to have gotten it at 12am, I give you a hearty FUCK YOU!!!!!  I'm only saying this because I wish I could have been there at 12am to receive my copy as well.  Oh well, I will continue to drink my hatorade.  Luckily I will be getting my copy tomorrow some time after I get off at work, get the family ready and then drive us all down to Modesto to pick it and then go to Victoria's Secret so that the wife can get herself something nice.  So to be realistic, I will most likely not being playing it until 8am Saturday morning due to having to sleep when we get home today after getting the game around 2pm.  But when I am finally able to play you bet your ass I am going to play a good 2 hours straight(that is a long time for a parent).

So I had an interesting conversation with one of my co-workers tonight.  She was complaining about her Boyfriend taking time off to play Skyrim, I think she said he took two days.  Then she tells us how she is taking time off to go and see the midnight showing of the new Twilight movie when it comes out.  I said that that is pretty much the same thing except for her boyfriend taking two days off instead of one and then told her that if her boyfriend had only took one day off then wouldn't that be the same thing?  She insisted that it is not due to a movie only being for 2 hours and that you can play a game longer and you don't have to play it that night.  Then I asked her, "Cant you just see a movie on another day?"  But yet she still continued to tell me that they are not the same thing.  I personally think that they are, one person is taking the night off to watch the midnight showing of a movie, the other is taking the night off to get his/her copy of a game at midnight so that they can play it.  Each person is taking a night off for their "event", seems like the same thing to me, video games and movies are both sources of entertainment and some would argue that they are in a way the same thing except for one you have more interaction in the world you are seeing.

First Class is Over and MW3

So today was pretty much the last day of my Tennis class.  On my written final i got an 80%, not bad for not studying a single day for it.  Its just that our teacher went over everything that we needed to know so much that it all sunk in.  There are two more classes but to be honest I don't think that they really matter, I doubt it will effect my grade by that much so i have decided to not go.

I have been playing Modern Warfare 3 since about yesterday, we went and picked it up and to be honest, it is even more amazing that it has been even better than what i had ever imagined.  It seems that every aspect of this game has improved from the last and there is not one part of this game that i do not like.  Well, that was a lie, there is one thing that i don't like.  It does not have a match type that MW2 had which was called Team member Deathmatch Express.  Basically it was just a shorter wait in between matches, like the regular wait was 45 seconds but in express it was only 15 seconds between matches.  But they did do something which redeems them, Infinity Ward added a new game type called Kill Confirmed.  What this mode is about is killing an opponent and picking up the dog tag that they drop, this dog tag goes towards your over all team score and your team has to pick up 65 dog tags.  The twist is that if you die next to your teammate they can pick up your dog tag and keep the other team from getting that score, you also get experience for kills and picking up dog tags.  50 experience per kill, 50 experience per enemy dog tag and 100 experience when you pick up a dead team members dog tag.  This mode is super action packed and fast paced, it really gets rid of camping because if you camp your really only hurting yourself and your team members.  I would love to talk more about this game but you really should play it for yourselves.

Just wanted to thank whoever(I wish I knew who you were) commented on my last blog, to be honest that was awesome advice, I will definitely take this and run with it.  Also on a side note, you are the first person to ever comment once of my blogs so thank you for that as well.  If you want to see what this person wrote then check out my last blog, I guess it is good advice for anyone wanting to blog and they don't really seem to have a general direction that their blog is going.

On to other things and stuff.

My Tennis class is almost up and we took our final today(yeah, a final in tennis).  That may have been the easiest test I have ever taken, if someone were to hypothetically fail that test then I am sure that our teacher would probably not want to teach ever again.  Come to think of it, I wonder if anyone has ever failed his test, I will have to ask him about this.  We are also doing skills testing which is serve, for hand return, back hand return, slam and volleys.  Once again these are pretty easy as well.  I have always been good at sports, not the best but a quick learner so this class has been a complete breeze thus far.  In fact the only reason why I have taken this class was to ensure that I get a better registration date for the spring semester since the two classes I will be taken(I think Math and Earth Science) generally fill up pretty quickly.

The funny thing about taking all of these classes now is that if I would not have been such a retard when I was originally going to school and would have pulled my head out of my ass I would not be going to school right now.  I would already have my AS in Business and be finishing up my Bachelors Degree.  I'm not complaining but I do think it is kind of funny, I do know that if I could tell my past self something it would be to get that shit done and maybe scare him in some way to ensure that he would in fact "get er done"!  Hopefully when I am done with my AS it will open some doors to help me further the education and to maybe find something different to do for a living.  We will just have to wait and see.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim comes out in three days...

I have never been excited to play an Elder Scrolls game but this time I am.  From what I have read it seems that they fixed the things that I did not like about the last game ie. having to sleep to level up, not directly telling where the skills people are and a better third person view.  Now that those things are gone I am pretty sure that I am going to like and or love this game, if I don't then I will feel retarded for spending money on this game.  But I have hyped it up so much that I have a feeling that I will be playing it for a long long time, if not forever, well maybe not forever but I think that you get my drift.

Productivity

So this morning I have been pretty productive to the point that I'm actually kind of proud of myself.  I have updated some stuff on this blog and have added my YouTube channel URL and my twitter account to my "description" of me, so check that out and go to each page to see what the fuss is about.

So I recently got my Flip HD and I have to say that it is awesome, I am liking it more and more with every use.  It was defiantly worth the $32 bucks that I paid for it, thanks to Best Buy I got one hell of a deal, you know what would be awesome...?

The App. Store

So i have been updating my apps. on my iPhone and I noticed that the IGN app. that i have is now offering a .99 cent fee to get rid of the adds that they have when you are browsing their articles.  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who in their right mind would pay for that unless they have now made the adds cover 3/4's of the screen, which if they did indeed do that then F them in their A's, F em hard...

I think that my wife found a job in Corcoran that she is going to try and get, this could mean myself and the family moving back to Hanford...

This means that i could get back into music with all of my music playing friends down there, this is a wonderful thing in and of itself(I probably just fudged up that saying).  Not to mention if she got this job then I could get a little shit nothing job and just chill, take care of the boys and play music with people and play shows allt he fudging time, its like a dream come true, A DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I might even get a job at Tachi working in the Vault with people who aren't fake as fuck and act like children, but lets not get to ahead of our selves ok.  OK!!!!!!!!!!

I hit level 31 in legends of Yore yesterday.  Just wanted you to know.

Oh yeah, I need to mention someone in this blog, someone who showed me all of the games that I had previously talked about like 3 blogs ago or so.  His name is Cody, he works at the same place as me, he's pretty bad ass and I hear of most indie games directly from him, he's like my indie dealer and I am his cock fiend sucking D for my next hit.(Your gonna love this Cody)

The Off Time(and games)

I am currently on my days off, I enjoy these times because I get to spend a hell of a lot more time with my family then I get to when I have to work.  My family is my everything and the more time I have with them the more I get to bond and enjoy what we have to offer as a whole, its very good.

So, I have been getting a considerate amount of views lately, it is nice and I have to say that i enjoy it very much.  I hope that whoever is coming here and reading these blogs is able to take something from them, even if its just a couple of laughs or even if you think they suck, oh well.  Anyways, thank you to all of you who have been coming here, it means a lot.

So i have been paying attention to some indie game developers lately.  Some of them are actually pretty cool people trying to make a living doing what they love to do, I think that they should be getting more attention then what they get.  So if you come here to read my blog then you need to check out a game called Legends of Yore, you can buy it at http://www.legendsofyore.com/  or you can get it on your iPhone as well, either way it is an amazing game.  To best describe it, its an 8-bit dungeon crawler with Diablo like features, not as many but you can still see and feel the resemblance, needless to say I have been playing like crazy.  Also on a side note, the creator of the game is a super nice guy, you can get to know him a little better buy following him on Twitter @cokeandcode you will not be disapointed.

The Pot Calling the Kettle Black

Oh my lanta, it is funny when I over hear my employee's talking shit about other employee's for things they do just as much as that employee.  Fudging priceless, these are the idiots that I work with.  Of course not all of them are idiots, just a majority, the rest who are not are actually good and awesome people to be around and people who's throats I don't want to rip out...  Just saying.

Into other news, I have been sick and drinking gratuitous amounts of green tea in order to make myself feel better(more of a placebo effect then a real one).  I love the way that it tastes, its like gold inside of my mouth, no wait.  Like a cloud wrapped in gold and then put into my mouth, yeah, its that good.  Its seems that my first cold of the year is coming to me in stages, I already have gone thru the shitty sore throat that leads to ear ache portion and am now in the stuffy nose that drips and drips and drips stage.  But at least I'm not hurting anymore and that is all that counts.

Random Note:  I need to fill out my FAFSA form ASAP!!!!

I think the next blog will be Powers Part 2, I'm just saying.  I have been thinking of more powers that I think would be awesome, I might even do a Lame Powers section, but who knows.

I've been trying to figure out some sort of business that I could start up, what kind of product I could sell and how I would go about selling said products.  I've been putting in some serious thought into this.  I am tired of working for people, I want to be my own boss and forge my own path instead of having to listen to people who I do not respect and who do not respect me.  Any ideas?  I would love to open up a hobby shop for like table top games and card games and all of the above game wise.  The only problem is where I live, the area is horrible for that sort of thing, most stores with these types of products don't generally last very long and die a horrible gruesome death.  Like they always say, its all about location, location, LOCATION!!!!!!!!

As of latley I have not been able to practice with the band that I am in, its kind of sucked that I cant get out there to get shit rolling but I have been busy with other things in my life.  The thing that really bugs me is that I have had inspiration up the wazoo, I need to get these lyrics out of my mind and in music form before I explode into a giant goo ball of music.  So far I have played one show with the band I am in, they are called February's Fall.  That one show was fun but I ended up massacering some of their lyrics, that is why I am looking forward to getting my own stuff into the fray that way I dont have to worry about singing their old songs as much and we can focus more on writing new material.  Hopefully better material as well.

So my wife recently signed me up for Gamefly and I am dumbfounded at why I never signed up for this to begin with, STUPID!!!!!!!  I think that in the long run this is defenitly cheaper then buying games outright, instead they just send me some games on my que and I love it.  I have some awesome games coming my way and am excited to play some of them.

Well, it seems I have lost my inspiration to write, so I am leaving now, GOOD BEY!!!!!!!!!!!
