The Comp is Back

So, for the last week in a half we have not had our computer because it has been with best Buy and their affiliates that fix computers that have taken a dive.  Turns out the power supply had burnt out and since I had upgraded the original power supply they did not fix it.  It's cool though, I had a feeling that this might happen.  When we picked it up today I bought a new power supply and now I am typing this blog.  Fortuantly I just bought the same exact type of power supply that I got last time.  I'm pretty sure that I know what burnt out my power supply, it was most likely a combination of always being on and accumulated dust through out the computer's insides.  before I put the new power supply in I made sure to blow it out with some canned air and then put the new power supply in.  Now...

IT"S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So with my computer being fixed I have finally been able to play Diablo 3.  I haven't really played a whole lot of it but it's alright so far, I wouldn't say that it's crazy good at this point in the game but who knows, maybe once I've gotten through act two my opinion on it will change.  I do have to give blizzard credit for the graphics, compared to Diablo 2 they are a million times better and the game runs so smooth.  The only thing that is bugging me so far is the fact that there is not a skill tree what so ever, most dungeon crawlers always have some sort of a skill tree.  Although this does bug me just a little I do have to give Blizzard props for trying something new, something that most of their fans were not expecting.  Also the way they have it isn't that bad, it's an interesting idea that does work well, it's just going to take a while for me to get used to.  All and all, it's not to bad so far and I am really excited to play through the game and enjoy it as well.

On to the topic of Dungeon crawlers, there is another one coming out soon and it is called Torchlight 2.  I have the first Torchlight on my steam account and it is not a bad game, just get's a bit repetitive like most dungeon crawlers do after you have played them for long enough.  The thing about Torchlight that bugs me the most is actually the opposite of what bugs me on Diablo 3.  It's Torchlight's skill tree that bugs me.  Basically all three classes(Destroyer, Alchemist and Vanquisher) have the same three skill trees just with different names.  The first one is an experience booster/looter, the second one is like a basic magic one and the third skill tree is based on each classes specific skill.  It reminds me a lot of the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance, every character literally had the same attack, just a different name and animation but did the same exact type of damage as all of the other characters special attacks.  It bugged me so much.  I still have yet to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for that reason.  Other than that one issue Torchlight is a pretty good game, I would recommend that you go get it on steam, I believe it's pretty cheap as well since Torchlight 2 comes out soon.

I guess this blog turned into a game type blog as opposed to a getting my computer type blog.  Oh well.

Until next time.

Fresno Grizzlies

So Last Wednesday my family and I along with two friends of mine went to a Fresno Grizzlies game and had an awesome time.  I felt it needed to be shared because we got some awesome pics of all of us at the game and I don't really have a whole lot of pics in my blogs.  So here it is.

First up is a picture of Jose, Manske and myself during the game.  Jose and Manske are two of my friends from Sonora, all of us worked at the same casino so it was really nice to see these guys again.  I think at this point we were like two beers in and feeling pretty good.  We ended up drinking a lot of Tecate that night and lets just say that it's not as forgiving the next day.

Arily and Caleb took a pic together.  It was nice because both my wife and Caleb seemed to enjoy the game a lot.  We don't go to a lot of things like this so it was nice to get out of the house with the whole family for a day of fun and excitement.  Plus Caleb seemed to be really into the game, almost like he was in awe or something like that.

Mikel had some fun but he is kind of at that age where if he doesn't like something then it's really downhill from there.  I think he enjoyed the game for like ten minutes and then spent the rest of the game playing on my Iphone.  But, we got him out of the house and I'm thinking that the more we go to these games the more he will start to like Baseball.

We have Jose and Caleb in this pic.  As you can see both of them are the whitest Mexicans I know and they kind of look alike as well, I think that Jose could pass for Caleb's uncle if we tried to convince someone that he was.

And last but not least we have one of our fun make shift family pics.  This is usually how pics of the four of us go, one of the kids is trying to get away and the other is happy, it's just how we are.

After it was all said and done we had a pretty good time.  I was happy to be hanging out my good friends and my wonderful family the whole time.  We also got free In-N-Out that night as well which was a way added bonus.  I think we are going to go to another game here soon, the Fresno Grizzlies park is an awesome place to see a fun and cheap game.  You walk in there and it feels like you are a major league game, it just has that awesome feel to it.  So if you get a chance hit up a game or two and bring the family with you or some friends.

Until next time.

Trying to Get Fit

So recently I have noticed that my gut has gotten just a little bit out of control.  Now, the people who know me are probably like, "What?!  You are skinny as fuck!".  Unfortuantly that is not the case.  So I decided to start doing some cardio, push up's and sit up's recently and I feel a little bit better, granted I have only been doing this for the last three days.  We are fortunate to have a pool in the condo complex that we live in so I have been swimming a bunch of laps after I get home from work.  This led me to a discovery.  I am horribly out of shape and I would suppose that I am in the worst shape of my life.  Now i'm not morbidly obese or something like that, I just know that my body could be a bit better then it is as of now.  So I have been doing a lot of swimming and to be honest I had forgotten how good of a workout it actually is.  When I am done with the set amount of laps that I choose I usually feel wiped out, especially for the last two days but today was definitely different.  I felt way better after today's swim then I have the last two days.  I think my body is starting to get used to some sort of exercise again.  And well, push up's and sit up's are easy enough to do so that's why I have been doing those as well.  It's time to pump me up and slim me down.

Well, I don't have anything else big to share so lets do quickie news, I haven't done that in a while.
