The Comp is Back

So, for the last week in a half we have not had our computer because it has been with best Buy and their affiliates that fix computers that have taken a dive.  Turns out the power supply had burnt out and since I had upgraded the original power supply they did not fix it.  It's cool though, I had a feeling that this might happen.  When we picked it up today I bought a new power supply and now I am typing this blog.  Fortuantly I just bought the same exact type of power supply that I got last time.  I'm pretty sure that I know what burnt out my power supply, it was most likely a combination of always being on and accumulated dust through out the computer's insides.  before I put the new power supply in I made sure to blow it out with some canned air and then put the new power supply in.  Now...

IT"S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So with my computer being fixed I have finally been able to play Diablo 3.  I haven't really played a whole lot of it but it's alright so far, I wouldn't say that it's crazy good at this point in the game but who knows, maybe once I've gotten through act two my opinion on it will change.  I do have to give blizzard credit for the graphics, compared to Diablo 2 they are a million times better and the game runs so smooth.  The only thing that is bugging me so far is the fact that there is not a skill tree what so ever, most dungeon crawlers always have some sort of a skill tree.  Although this does bug me just a little I do have to give Blizzard props for trying something new, something that most of their fans were not expecting.  Also the way they have it isn't that bad, it's an interesting idea that does work well, it's just going to take a while for me to get used to.  All and all, it's not to bad so far and I am really excited to play through the game and enjoy it as well.

On to the topic of Dungeon crawlers, there is another one coming out soon and it is called Torchlight 2.  I have the first Torchlight on my steam account and it is not a bad game, just get's a bit repetitive like most dungeon crawlers do after you have played them for long enough.  The thing about Torchlight that bugs me the most is actually the opposite of what bugs me on Diablo 3.  It's Torchlight's skill tree that bugs me.  Basically all three classes(Destroyer, Alchemist and Vanquisher) have the same three skill trees just with different names.  The first one is an experience booster/looter, the second one is like a basic magic one and the third skill tree is based on each classes specific skill.  It reminds me a lot of the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance, every character literally had the same attack, just a different name and animation but did the same exact type of damage as all of the other characters special attacks.  It bugged me so much.  I still have yet to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for that reason.  Other than that one issue Torchlight is a pretty good game, I would recommend that you go get it on steam, I believe it's pretty cheap as well since Torchlight 2 comes out soon.

I guess this blog turned into a game type blog as opposed to a getting my computer type blog.  Oh well.

Until next time.
