Indie Game and Zynga

So, I am sitting here watching Indie Game: The Movie and playing FarmVille 2 while drinking a beer.  To be honest, I am a bit bored.  This movie is actually really good, gives you a great insight on how the people developing these games feel during their process of making a game from scratch, the middle of it, the end product and all the shit that happens in between those three things.  The thoughts from the men in this movie are what intrigue me the most, the human aspect of not wanting to fail makes this movie a great movie.  All of the gentlemen in this movie have their hearts on their sleeves the whole time.  You are seeing a piece of them that only the closest people in their lives get to see, in retrospect...

you are seeing who they really are.

I'm loving it and in some way feel that I am connecting with them in some minute way, I know how they feel, they seem like people who I would get along with, people who are kindred spirits and I like that.

So onto the other thing that I mentioned at the top of this blog.  FarmVille 2 ugh.

I'm playing it right now as we speak, waiting for a dame got to finish it's allotted time limit so that I can harvest the milk from it's life giving tit because I have a challenge to finish with the milk that it gives, I NEED IT!!!  Zynga has once again found a way to make a horribly addicting game that will most likely draw in every house mom in the country and slowly suck the life out of all of them.  Something interesting has happened though and if I remember correctly Zynga recently has filed for bankruptcy and closed down their studios.  I feel bad for the people who worked there, the people who coded and did the art for it and just put all this time and effort into these games and who are now out of a job.  I hope that some how they will rise out of the ashes that were once Zynga these people can make something else, something awesome and something that I would someday want to play.

I think that I have babbled enough in this post, to be honest I feel strange and not really like my chipper self.  I'm off now, bey.

Supporting Some Awesome People

I am posting tonight to just bring some attention to some awesome web sites, youtube pages and just all around awesome people.  These are things that are must see and made by some of the most talented people that I know.  The first thing I want you to check out is:

website: http://willterrell.com/
Twitter: @willterrell
Instagram: willterrell
Will Terrell is a man who I am following on Twitter , Instagram and if he had a YouTube page then I would be subscribed to that as well.  I'm assuming that Will has an actual job some where but for the most part makes these awesome sketches which I'm sure he gets paid for in some way as well.  Ever since viewing this mans art and sketches I have begun to see people in the same way that he sketches them.  Often times thinking to myself, "how would Will Terrell draw that person.".  Followed by the image in my head and then a low chuckle once I finally have the mental image.  I wish that he had a Penny-Arcade type comic that he would put these people in, I'm sure it would do very very well.  Will is a person who has great talent when it comes to his style of art, I can not express to you how much I enjoy viewing what he creates.  It seems now that I am just talking him up to you(the viewer), but please, if you do one thing today that is out of your normal routine.  Make it viewing Will's site.  You wont regret it.

Next up on the old block is a friend of mine's YouTube page.  Here we go.

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/superbadfilm?feature=results_main
I have a friend that I work with named Praseut Yang.  He created a YouTube page called SuperBadFilm which specializes in videos that are primarily in the Hmong language.  A lot of his videos have sub-titles as well, but he does have a few that do not.  Almost all of his videos deal with Hmong culture and the norms set upon them thru family traditions and what not.  His YouTube page is nothing short of amazing.  He has garnered over 4,000 subscribers and over a million views in the short time that Praseut has started his film company.  The editing on these videos is great as well and to be honest, Praseut has given me a ton of pointers when it comes to editing the videos that I make for my YouTube page.  He is a great friend and an equally great film maker.  So go check out his page today, don't forget to subscribe to it and watch some of the vids.  I'm sure that once you watch them you will be giving them "likes" as if they were going out of style^_^

So that's all, I feel really passionate about both of the people who I have mentioned in this blog.  Both are awesome people and have been able to make something that has meaning, value and substance in a world of people doing the same thing over and over again.  These pages deserve your views and you owe it to yourself to check something out that will most likely blow your mind.

Until next time.

NEW NEW NEW(un-caps)

Im not really sure what is up witht he title but I thought it looked cool, so yeah, it is what it is.

I got an awesome call over my weekend for an interview at another casino closer to my parents and my wife's parents.  Im excited and have to get some new interview cloths so that I can look fresh to death.  Here's a fun fact for all of you.  Anytime I have had an interview for a job I have always gotten said job, I have a flawless record haha.  Hopefully we can keep it the same way, if not then my streak will be broken and that would suck.

On to other stuff.
Actually, quickie news.

I have been playing a game called Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the game is pretty bad ass.  It's like a mix between Skyrim's open world, Mass Effect/Dragon Age's decision system, Devil May Cry's battle system and the visuals of World of Warcraft.  As you can tell from my description it is an interesting mix of some of the gaming industries best games and the even crazier thing is that it works out perfectly.  It's fun, enthraling and still leaves me wanting more.  I've been sucked into it, it owns my soul.

My son pooped on me the other night.

My new tattoo is scabing like crazy, it sucks.  Oh well, I knew what i was getting myself into ^_^

I forgot to wear my glasses tonight so i made a make shift eye patch but people made fun of it so i threw it away, poor eye patch.  I even drew an eye on it T_T

Im going to be making a new youtube video soon, so look forward to that, it's going to have a friend of mine it.  YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

And thats all for quickie news and this blog today, until next time people.

Nights

At the place of my business I work what is called the Grave shift, which really translates to, "the shift that sucks, makes you tired 24/7 and will not allow you to see your family as much as you want to."  As you can see I dont really like the shift that i have, in fact I hate it, I hate it a lot.  My whole body is all out of whack, Im always tired and feeling like poo, its no bueno.

On to other things.

Does anyone else have a Google+ account???
I have to say that it is an intresting thing, I still haven't figured out the little things about it but its getting better and better day after day.  Im liking it more and more, I think that one of the main reasons I like it so much is because not everyone is on it and that is good, I'd rather they all stay over at Facebook instead.  As of late I have become the type of person that really doesn't want people whom I work with to know what I do or what kind of stuff I am posting.  People talk, and a lot of people cant keep anything to themselves and that pisses me off to no end.  I think its because I am not a nosy person there fore I at it when people are nosy and try to get into my business.  If I want you to know what i did over my weekend wouldn't I just tell you?

Well, looks like tonight was just a rant, oh well.
